I am absolutely loving the foildrive, my learning curve for foiling has increased dramatically in the last 6 months of owning a Gen 2 Max. I was paddling with a large SUP Foil - 120lt x 6'4" Naish Hoverfoil struggling along but with the Gen 2 now I'm on a 60lt x 5'4" Axis Foildrive & prone foiling. Two years of having to work with ordinary beach breaks at my local & now my 60yr old shoulders are finally having a break + it takes me back to being a 12yr old at the very beginning of my surfing life, I'm a kid again with a big grin!!.
Everytime I setup at least 2-3 old surfers come & ask about it as they are getting to the point of not being able to paddle on / get up / get a wave, this really is a game changer for old surfers + you are riding the swells away from everyone hassling for a wave, sweet....... So I’m a big ambassador for your product!!, shout out to the support team too, I had my first issue after 6 months hassle free foildriving & it was resolved quickly & efficiently. This is an unreal product & worth every cent!!, your Videos/ updates / troubleshooting info / support team are informative & now their stuff so glad I came on-board. hooroo happy foiling Steve S

Gotta admit I was skeptical at first and not sure I would enjoy riding with the extra weight and water catching on the motor pod, but have been converted. I SUP foil, wing foil and tow in....so wondered whether I would even use it 20 times a year. Just did 8 days straight. Weight is not bad, especially with Max Sport battery which I use mainly. Over half the days I go now you wouldn't even normally bother... Even SUPing in on a fast down wind board. Cruise control out is gold. Upto 2hours and around 30 waves on a Sport battery. Usually do 2 Sport battery sessions...around 3.5 hours 55-60 waves. Pod catching on a 20cm cable even not really an issue, and with the SUP-in paradigm I am going down to 12cm as I just boost in and olly up. Truly negates the crowd. 99% catch rate on waves. You can get in on pretty much anything. Epic well designed product and great customer service!

I was struggling with foiling in the surf, I could do it behind a boat just fine and was starting to scratch the surface of dock starting and was looking into getting a jet ski or some kind of boat. I realized that with a ski or boat I would need at least one other person to go with me always and someone that either wanted to learn to foil (and hopefully near my ability level) or someone that was cool just driving only. But in most locations you also need a spotter so that’s 2 other people that you need to line up your schedules and froth level to want to go with you. Not to mention the cost and extra hassle of a ski or boat. Then I found the foil drive gen 2 and couldn’t order one fast enough. This product changed my life, literally. I can go anytime I want, by myself or with friends, I can go efoiling when it’s flat, I can “tow” myself into waves, downwind, the possibilities are endless! But it took me from barely being able to foil to being able to progress at a rate that I couldn’t believe. In one month I progressed further than I had in the last year and a half!!! And the price might seem steep but if you consider the alternatives, it’s quite reasonable actually. It’s VERY easy to set up and use and I couldn’t be happier with the product, I use mine at least 2 times a week (I work full time) but in the summer when it stays light for a few hours after work I use it daily. Oh and one more thing, the customer service is second to none!!! If anything goes wrong they will get…

I previously owned a Foil Drive Assist Plus and now own a Foil Drive Assist MAX (Gen 2) and it is the best investment I have made (ever) and constantly recommend it others wanting to get into any of the foiling sports (especially prone or sup foiling).
Initially I purchased a Foil Drive assist to help get into prone foiling, but I'm still having too much fun on the Foil Drive.
The Foil Drive community is very helpful and welcoming.
What makes this product even more special is the support at Foil Drive. They really stand behind their products and the support staff are very responsive and friendly. The minor issues that I had were sorted very quickly. I have met the co-owners personally I can say that they are great guys.
Special mention to both Sarah and Travis who I have spoken with on the phone and conversed via email. It is very refreshing to deal with helpful and friendly staff.

Well it has for me. As a keen kitefoiler in swell using Peaks or Clouds I just loved it, but then I found winging. No more chasing the kite, altering your line to keep kite line tension, just flag the wing behind you, how good is this.
But then Foildrive Plus arrived, chasing bay swell lines, nothing inhibiting what lines to take, pumping downwind from swell line to swell line, motor fully clear of the water just using the swell power for 100’s of metres.
No more riding big oversized boards, 30lts is more than enough.
Oh my ***, Gen 2 Max arrived, now riding small wings and smashing the swell lines. Yes, it’s extra weight but that gives more momentum to cruise across the swell lines when required. Power to burn, shoot back upwind to do another downwind run, it couldn’t get better than this, or could it?
